Am I a candidate for Dry Eye Treatment?
If you’re experiencing symptoms of Dry Eye Syndrome, such as tearing or a persistent dry, gritty sensation, you may benefit from our specialized treatments. Our advanced options are designed to relieve dry eye symptoms and enhance your quality of life.
What steps must be taken before the Forma-I procedure?
To ensure the best results and safety during your FORMA RF treatment, it’s important to follow these guidelines:
- Stop using any products containing Retinol one week before and after the treatment.
- Discontinue topical retinoid therapy 2-4 days prior to your appointment.
- Minimize sun exposure and use a zinc oxide sunscreen with at least SPF 30 if you need to be outdoors.
- If medically permissible, avoid taking anticoagulants such as aspirin, mobic, ibuprofen, or naproxen for one week before the treatment.
- Cease the use of Accutane six months prior to your appointment.
- Avoid facials, lasers, injectables, and dermal filler treatments for one week before and after your FORMA RF session.
- Arrive at your appointment with clean skin—no lotion, makeup, perfume, powder, bath, or shower oil should be present on the treated area.
Following these recommendations will help ensure the effectiveness and safety of your FORMA RF treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
You can expect to have between 1-3 treatments with Morpheus8 depending on your treatment regime. The number of sessions needed for laser hair removal varies depending on factors such as hair color, skin type, and the area being treated. On average, most people require 6 to 8 sessions spaced several weeks apart for optimal results. However, the exact number of sessions can be determined during a consultation with a qualified practitioner based on individual needs and treatment goals.

How long does each treatment take?
Each session only takes about 15-60 minutes depending on the size of your target area. Your session may be rescheduled if you have an infection or cut in the target area. This is because wounded skin may increase your risk of infection or other negative side effect.
What does post care involve?
After your FORMA treatment, it’s important to follow these post-treatment care instructions: Avoid using skin cooling methods. Refrain from exposing the treated area to very hot water for at least two days following the treatment. Do not scrub, pinch, or otherwise irritate the treated area. You may apply moisturizer and makeup to the skin immediately after the treatment. If you experience any signs of infection, excessive swelling, redness, pain, or any other unusual symptoms after your treatment, please contact your physician promptly for further guidance and assistance. Following these guidelines will help ensure optimal results and a smooth recovery from your FORMA treatment.
How quickly will I experience results?
A single session has the ability to provide a momentary skin tightening effect and create a more gentle and smoother complexion. Nevertheless, for results that are noticeably lasting, it’s advisable to undergo a minimum of 6 treatment sessions. For optimal outcomes, it’s recommended to arrange a weekly Forma facial session to fully experience the facial effects. If you decide to continue with monthly sessions for maintenance, the benefits can persist for several years, especially when combined with a suitable skincare routine, other treatment modalities and a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Kelvin Cheung was born and raised in the Lower Mainland. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Microbiology & Immunology at the University of British Columbia and his Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University in Oregon. Dr. Cheung completed his externships at the Central California Veterans Affairs Hospital in Fresno and private practices in Bellevue, Washington, and Southern Oregon.
Dr. Linda Yee
Dr. Linda Yee obtained her doctorate degree in optometry with high honours from the prestigious University of Waterloo School of Optometry, the only English-speaking Optometry school in Canada. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at The University of British Columbia.
